Growing up, I was often told I had no talent, and for a long time, I believed it. It wasn’t until I turned 40 that I decided to give it a try. I’m self-taught, learning through YouTube and books, and after experimenting with different mediums I settled with oil painting. Oil paints are incredible for their rich colors, depth, and ability to blend seamlessly, which work amazing with my favourite subject, people portraits and figures, interconnected with nature.

Inspired by mythology and folklore, fantasy and nature, I’ve always been fascinated by the Pre-Raphaelite movement.

Artists like John Singer Sargent, for his effortless looking brushwork, John William Waterhouse for his themes and Sorolla for the light and life he brought to his painting, are amongst my favourite masters

I’m still figuring it all out, but I’m grateful for the journey. My art is an attempt to recreate the world I see inside, capturing the beauty and stories that live in my imagination.
